Jody Davis, a native of Baltimore, Maryland, is a graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City where she achieved a degree in fashion and accessory design. Davis interned for fashion powerhouse Donna Karan and after graduation relocated to Washington, D.C., where she landed a position with Neiman Marcus. In August 1999, Jody left her position at Neiman Marcus to pursue fashion design full-time. Jody Davis Designs was launched in September 2009, and Davis has showcased her work during Baltimore Fashion Week and Essence Music Festival in New Orleans. In February 2010, Jody Davis Designs boutique opened its first location in Baltimore, Maryland. Since its inception, the brand has amassed a large clientele both locally in the D.C metro area and nationally.
